Now that we’ve shared a few favorite holiday decoration projects with you, here are a few tips to maximize your decorating style:
Work With Your Home’s Best Features
Be sure to maximize your home’s features when decorating. Do you have agreat sight line from your front door to your living room? Consider centering your Christmas tree or a festive wreath so that it’s visible when you enter your home. Is your dining room or conservatory full of windows and natural light? Think about placing decorations near these windows to cheer you (and your neighbors) before you even enter your home! Have an open tread stairway? How about placing small decorative items (say, present boxes or nutcrackers) between the stair rails to make a dramatic entryway to your second floor.
