If a universal symbol of fall had to be chosen…it easily would be the pumpkin.
Starting earlier and earlier every year we start seeing pumpkin flavored and scented EVERYTHING popping up in stores, and pumpkins set out on doorsteps (not that I’m complaining…!). As versatile as the pumpkin flavor is, lending it’s warm flavor to everything from coffee to cake pops, so are its decorating possibilities. Time to think beyond the traditional jack-o-lantern, and explore the creative ways to celebrate the season with pumpkins! Check out a few of our favorites from our Fall Pinterest board:
A new spin on traditional carving. Create intricate designs by etching the rind of the pumpkin instead of carving all the way through!
The Chevron pattern is everywhere these days, from fashion to home decor–add a little fashion flair to your pumpkins. Works well on both orange and white!
3. Pumpkin Planters!
It’s one of those things that make you say “Why didn’t I think of that?”. The perfect way to display your fall mums, carve a pumpkin, and place the mum in the plastic pot right in!
4. Drill-Bit Carving!
One of the easiest ways to create glowing pumpkins without struggling with the carving knife. Experiment with different sized bits to create unique designs!
5. White Pumpkins!
Used inside as centerpieces or outside as accents to your fall display, white pumpkins are popping up all over the place as a new twist on traditional fall decor!
