When we hear that a Central PA town is named to another Top 10 list, we’re always happy. But, when it happens to be a Central PA town home to one of our neighborhoods – we get even more excited and proud!
The latest to make it onto a list (Top 10 Most Beautiful Towns in Pennsylvania, by The Culture Trip) is the historic town of Strasburg – home to our 55+ neighborhood Heritage Strasburg!
The article cites that “Much of the countryside in Strasburg is rich in history and beauty and, in 1983, the National Register of Historic Places considered a majority of the borough as a historic district.”
We agree! Downtown Strasburg Borough is lined with antique shops, restaurants, galleries and coffee shops located in historic brick buildings. And, Main Street is only steps away from Heritage Strasburg thanks to a private path that connects the maintenance-free neighborhood sidewalks to downtown.
If a quiet day bike riding down slow country roads is more your style – there are farm stands nearby to fill your bike basket with fresh produce -- and beautiful views to stop and take some farmland sunset photos.
Besides the trail to Main Street, close distance to fresh farm produce and farmland vista views – Heritage Strasburg is beautiful on it’s own! Preserved neighborhood greens with mature shade trees, newly planted trees along the streetscape and throughout the neighborhood and newly released homesites– it is a special place in itself.
If it has been some time since you’ve seen Heritage Strasburg – we invite you back to visit (and we can give great lunch recommendations too!)
