5 New Home "Must Haves" for Easy Holiday Entertaining

The Holidays are a time to be social – and being social means entertaining!
We’ve gathered our favorite new home features that take entertaining from stressful to simple.

1. Let the great room be the hub
Rather than trying to decorate your entire home – focus on one main gathering location. Light a fire and encourage conversation in one space. We love that in our floorplans the great room and kitchen connect to create a gathering space where cooking and conversation can coexist.

2. Buffets are best
The easiest way to feed a crowd (and save space on your holiday table) is a buffet – either served right from a buffet island or in a built in buffet counter top.

3. Designate a drop zone
Built in coat storage and shoe shelving keeps coats and shoes all in one place and out of sight.

4. Quiet nooks for conversation
Hosting a large gathering? Seating in quiet areas of the home offer a quiet escape for guests looking to have smaller conversations. We’d love to retreat to the sunporch!
5. Set up a kid’s space
The little ones will love a place that has an x-box, holiday movies and games on hand. The upstairs gameroom is perfect for this!

No matter what the Holiday Season means for your social calendar - we hope you enjoy all the memories and "in-between" moments created in your home.
