In a recent post we talked about how paying rent is getting harder and harder these days. Zillow has recently released it's figures for May showing rent has climbed 4.3% to a nationwide median of $1,367.
That's 13 - $100 bills you are shelling out each month to your landlord. In one year that's $16,404 (164 - $100 bills) and if you've been paying for five years...brace yourself...that's $82,020 (820 - $100 bills)!!! Tired of counting? Keep going because there are also utilities to consider. More renters are becoming "cost-burdened" spending a hefty percentage of their income on the cost of the roof over their heads.
If most of your paycheck is going out the door, it may be time to take advantage of the benefits of home ownership. Visit one of Charter's neighborhoods in Lancaster, York or Harrisburg areas. Charter has a number of home types, sizes, prices and neighborhoods to fit your needs.
