The Neighborhood
"It was time to simplify: no more raking leaves! We love Veranda. We've never had kids of our own, so it's wonderful to share the neighborhood with families of all ages."
– Ken and Jane Kimmel
Ghouls and Goblins on Getz Green
Veranda's social committee made sure the Halloween Parade was a fright to behold. A newborn pumpkin propped on broad shoulders gave Dad an air of Headless Horseman. Yoda lurked near the cooler, using the Force to select a can of pop. Nearby, a bevy of beautiful princesses challenged a coven of cackling witches, scrambling through a magical pile of hay to snatch Snickers and Sweet Tarts. As the mortals hovered near the pizza, prizes were awarded for the evening’s most outstanding get-ups: Most Powerful (Yellow Power Ranger), Handiest (Bob the Builder), Most Beautiful (Princess #4). Then, as darkness settled over the neighborhood, the motley crew from Make Believe set out in their Radio Flyers to collect Tricks and Treats. A boo-tiful time was had by all.
