Along with these additions to Arcona Crossroads, we continue to improve the growing neighborhood and its focus on walkability and connection between families, friends, and neighbors. In this year alone, a $7.5 million dollar investment is underway for road improvements to increase walkability to Crossroads while connecting Arcona to the surrounding community. The project includes a new entrance off Rossmoyne Road, 3 new roundabouts, road widening, pedestrian crosswalks, and additional paved walking paths connecting to the neighborhood trail system. In addition to helping control traffic and promote walkability, the roundabouts will be landscaped with native plants and trees, and will serve as a beautiful connection point between Arcona and the surrounding area.
Parts of the improvement plan require traffic detours that will be in place starting in June and will make Arcona an even better place to live, work and play!
