We’re thrilled to announce that the first Meeder Crossroads business is officially open! Recon Brewing has opened its second taproom at Meeder in Cranberry Township. More than 150 homeowners already call Meeder home, and now they have a new place to gather with friends, old and new.
Based in Butler, PA, three friends established Recon Brewing in February 2016 after meeting through the Butler Township fire service. Toby Wehr, Dave Bestwick, and Nate Bacher set out to create a brewery focused on high-quality beer known for its drinkability and value.
Their “drink local” philosophy extends beyond the beer. Recon sources materials, supplies, equipment, and even design locally whenever possible. The brewery quickly became a favorite local spot through its involvement in the Butler area.
Now, they’re bringing that same spirit to Cranberry Township and the Meeder neighborhood.
As the first locally owned business to open at Meeder Crossroads, Recon Brewing marks the beginning of more places to gather, connect with friends old and new, and enjoy everyday life close to home.
