At Charter, we believe the land we build on tells a story, one that deserves to be honored as we imagine what’s possible for its future. When it came time to revitalize the farm pond at Crescent, we knew we needed to partner with the very best to turn our vision into reality.
That’s where Patrick Gavaghan comes in. He’s the owner and senior ecologist at Ecotune, an environmental consulting firm in Cranberry Township. Together, we crafted a thoughtful plan to expand, restore, and care for the lake at Crescent. Once the physical expansion was complete, the next step was to introduce over 700 pounds of fish. Patrick carefully determined the right balance of minnows, crappies, sunfish, and largemouth bass. A mix designed to restore the lake’s ecosystem and create endless opportunities for fishing and water recreation for years to come.
Every element of this plan was intentionally designed, from planting aquatic vegetation that helps absorb nutrients and curb algae growth, to reworking the inlets that manage sediment and water flow. Now complete, the lake is more than revitalized, it’s a flourishing, preserved haven that complements the natural beauty of Crescent and offers homeowners outdoor experiences in every season.
